I think age has an effect on slow weight loss, I'm a couple of years older than you also with psoriatic arthritis. My weight loss has slowed to halt pretty much and its so frustrating. Exercise is the key I imagine because whatever I do is far slower than 10 or so years ago, thus not enough calories burned off compared with those consumed. Do a food and exercise diary for a couple of weeks but don't give up.

I agree about keeping a food diary to see how many calories you are eating then do the BMI calculation on this site to see what you should be having. If you are eating healthily but are overweight then you just need to eat the same foods but less of them. I was the same and when I started to weigh stuff discovered I was having much bigger portions than I should.

Hello there, this time last year I was three stone (or 42lbs) heavier than I am now. I have asthma, ex smoker, osteoarthritis, I too have a Morton's neuroma in between my third and fourth metatarsal of my right foot and have one growing nicely on my left foot but have not had that scanned yes so don't know where or how it is. I am 5.1 in height and 61 years of age. I decided enough was enough, I went to my local Slimming World group and my journey began. I ate well, never hungry and lost a pound or two each week I attended. It took me 7 months to get the weight off and I too used to think age was against me. Getting rid of that weight has opened my life more. I have gone from a size 18/20 UK size down to a 10/12 and very often its a size 10 I am wearing. If you want to get rid of the weight you will. But you really have to want to do it. Look out for some magazines they sometimes have a voucher for free membership.
