Good News this morning! At the end of my first week I've lost 2lbs - not a lot but enough to keep me motivated for the next step...

Interested to notice that the 2nd week has exercise as its focus, as I have found it challenging to build more activity into my day during this first week.. I didn't make the 150 min target last week, but hope to do better in week 2. Thanks for your support on the forum....

2 pounds is really good - it's healthier to lose between 1 to 2 pounds per week. Well done and hope you have a great week.

Thank you, Lowcal - I appreciate your encouraging response. I'm expecting next week to be hard work because I'm running out of excuses to avoid the 150 mins activity!! But needs must, so will have a go.... Hope you too have a good week....

Start your exercise slowly - it caninclude housework - yuck, gardening - great and just walking, going up stairs etc. I do the 150 most days, but I only sit down to eat - less than previously, and sleep or drive.

Thanks, Windswept1. It will make a difference if I can count housework :( and gardening, although I don't do either to - shall we say- excess! I plan, though, to build in two swimming sessions this week for starters.... Have a good week....
