Hiya,

I have now added an appointment to my BlackBerry notepad called FatSecret.

I worked out my daily calorie intake on their calculator and it is 1900 a day.

Female, Age 58, weight 14.9 ( 205 lbs) activity - low.

On HealthUnlocked, my daily calories is 1400.

Should I take an average 1650?

Hi Janelily,

I really haven't a clue here, but I think you just may find that your FatSecret app has told you your normal calorie intake of 1900 (which is the average recommended for a woman) whereas the NHSChoices figure includes a 500 kcal a day calorie-deficit in order that you lose weight at about the right rate of 1 to 2 lbs a week.

Good luck with your weight loss journey.

give it a month at 1400 calories a day and re-assess.

The 1900 is a guesstimate at what you're using.
