I have osteo arthritis and need to lose weight. I walk when I can but it is really hard for me to diet as I'm in the Army

My meals are made for me and because they have to cater for so many people they cannot make a healthier option just for me. I do try to choose the less fatty option and steer clear of chips normally. I am thinking of trying the special k diet as I've noticed I do tend to snack during the day. Would this help with weight loss

Before you start on Special K diet, I would suggest you look at their nutrition label. Even the healthy sounding Multi Grain Special K (specialk.com/cereals/multi-... has almost 20% sugar. That is a "High" on sugar content based on nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/Pa.... Given that sugar causes weight gain, it is highly unlikely you will have sustainable weight loss with a Special K diet. I would recommend that you follow the NHS diet for weight loss on nhs.uk/LiveWell/Loseweight/...

I would recommend that you follow the NHS plan, have oats with some honey and egg for breakfast and use the Vi shake for lunch. A pear around 3pm. And then a healthy dinner. It will keep you on a balanced plan. For more information see the video on visalus.uk.com Good Luck!
