Was wondering if anyone has any troubles been heard by their doctors? I have suffered from painful, heavy and irregular period since I was 12years old (started my periods at 10years old) I am now 23, I'm sure every year it gets worse. This year I am struggling more then I ever have, I'm more emotional, the pain is beyond anything I have felt and I'm leaking through clothes like there is no tomorrow.

Every time I go to the doctors I get told well you need to lose weight that will help and nothing else get said or done about. Of course I know losing some weight would help but surely that's not all they can do for me?

Its affecting my life more then ever and I honestly don't know how much my brain or body can take :(

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem with extremely heavy periods which eventually in my 40’s were every 2 weeks . I had a coil fitted which had hormones in it . The periods got much lighter and disappeared for a while.

It was such a relief and enabled me to get my life back .

I was very reluctant to have a coil but it definitely was the best thing I’ve done and had a second one fitted when the first ran out .
