High AMH (47) not responding to 150 iul. *Feel so low and defeated*

I’m struggling a lot today and I was hoping that there was somebody there to stop me from feeling this low. I just had my scan after 10days on the short protocol and I’ve had no real stimulation. I’ve got one follicle in one ovary measuring at 14mm and all others are less than 10mm. I’ve been told to try this dose for another three days and then have another scan to see if there’s much change. She did say that they may need to suspend treatment as I’m not responsive to the medication.

I just feel so annoyed that my pcos just keeps ruining my life! All I’ve ever wanted was a baby and it’s been 5 years of endless torture and watching everyone close to me get pregnant. I’m so tired of this!

Hi, I was desperate myself to have kids and I did have them, 3 girls. What no one really tells you is, once you’re a mum your life is one of endless worry and fear. You worry about the kids from the day they were born. I can see now why so many do not want kids and choose to have a hedonistic life instead, one of travelling and holidays, socialising and spending time on their interests. I haven’t had a holiday abroad in 10 years. I love my kids but sometimes the worry is too much and gets me down. I am on this forum by the way as the latest is that my daughter has been diagnosed with PCOS and so now I worry about her having problems getting pregnant! I guess is what i’m saying is, please do not think that the people you see around you who have kids or are pregnant are so so lucky. Just think now that they are not free and they will forever be scared. They will have happy times and you might see their happy pictures on social media, but think to yourself what’s really happening. A lot of them are/will go through multiple traumas whereas people who do not have kids can enjoy a life with much, much less worry! Just saying! In case you don’t achieve pregnancy! 😉

I wholeheartedly agree, being a mum in the same situation. Thank you for your honesty.
