Experiences with medroxyprogesterone (provera)?

I was on depo-provera injection for around 18 months, it completely stopped my periods (not that I was getting many anyway), really helped with my acne and mood swings. It was a good option for me as I can't have oestrogen based contraceptives and only half 1 injection every 3 months. I was recommended not to be on it for more than 2 years as it can weaken your bones due to lack of oestrogen you will produce.
