Hiya

Since i was 15 i was overweight had excessive hair in my face and belly and my periods were irregular recently iv been extremely tired all the time. Iv been my GP several times but kept getting fobbed off. 11 year later a doctor finally listened to me and give me the PCOS diagnosis. They give me a leaflet to read but its still a lot to take in, but im so glad i finally have answers.

This sounds like all woman that have pcos the doctors don’t take it seriously but the effects of living with it have a huge impact on your life! The energy thing is a killer but vitamin b is ment to be a big help when you have pcos so you could give it a try see if makes a difference to you!

Couldn’t agree more! I went in complaining of feeling like I’m taking a hypo often and the doctor said that’s near impossible your not a super model 😳! Not thinking for one minute she has pcos and will be insulin resistant! You really need to find a doctor who has it to understand it I think! Thing is so many woman have it you think they would go and learn more on it! Xxx

I totally agree with you the doctor that diagnosed me has it and she was so understanding, i went several times to be sent on my way. Noone took me seriously until now, my friend has it and she said its hard to lose weight and if i do the fatigue will always be there. Im going ti tey lose it anyways. She also told me not to worry about have children because she knows people with the condition have gone on to have children. Im finding it hard when i talk about it whether to call it a condition or illness xx

Yeah it’s can be really hard to lose the weight but I have done it before I lost 5 stone but apart from making me feel better I’m not sure it really helped symptoms but the hypo feeling was worse! Really do not worry about the children factor as I used to worry sick as my periods could disappear for up to a year and as soon as I started trying I fell pregnant right away and had a health baby girl in May! So I used to hate when people said to me you’ll be fine but I am proof that it can be done! Xxx
