I've been on metformin before, The first time was when I was diagnosed with PCOS and I was already fatigued from being so off that I felt better as soon as I started taking it. The second time I started up again was 4 months after having a baby so I was tired anyway. I just started taking metformin again after a year of victoZa followed by 4 months of no medicine. I'm only up to 1500mg a day and I feel so exhausted. It's as if I took night time cold medicine during the day. I did fee this way in the beginning with the victoza but it didn't last as long. Has anyone else felt this way. I did up my b12 intake, which works but I'm still tired. Any suggestions ? Do you think it will just go away in time.

I got very ill on metformin. Wasnt for me and yes did suffer with the fatigue and other side effects. So they took me off it but as of yet still not had a call from my doctor regarding a replacement medication. So frustrating as I feel so down because of the pcos.
I just want some treatment and hopefully get my periods back. Not had one for twelve months.
Are your vitamin d and iron levels okay? I take metformin and haven't noticed in particular that it causes fatigue for me but I have CFS as well as PCOS so am always at least a bit fatigued. After taking vitamin d for 6 months I went from not leaving the house at all to working 25 hours a week.
I presume as your taking victoza you are diabetes type 2? What are your sugars like??im on both too and notice that if I miss any doses I really feel it. I stopped and just did the metformin start up like you but it wasn’t enough to control my sugars so was experiencing extreme fatigue. Back on both now and although still have bouts of tiredness they are no where near what they used to be. Maybe go back and see your diabetes nurse or ask to be referred to an endocrinologist. Good luck, make time for you (nigh on impossible with little ones I know) and let us know how you go.
