PCOS and Amenorrhea

Hi, I was diagnosed with PCOS last July, when they diagnosed me there was a relief in the sense it now explained that there was a reason behind the irregular menstrual cycles and the hirsutism. But my concern is that I haven't actually had any periods for about 15 months and the medroxyprogesterone (5-day course) they gave to restart my cycle hasn't made any difference. Has anyone else had a similar situation?

You do need to go back to the GP as you need 4 periods a year to keep your uterus healthy or alternatively if not TTC have the coil fitted as it keeps the womb lining from getting too thick.

Thanks, yeah they said that during my recent last appointment, but luckily the medroxyprogesterone tablets worked (3days after having finished the course).

So I've finally experienced periods again after 15months.

I've experienced bouts of no period for up to 6 months or periods constantly for a month. So I just assumed it would occur. I'd never thought of the implications its might have on my womb lining.
