Depo Provera Injections for Endo

Hi there I have been on Depo since September 2018 and have noticed changes within myself like weight gain, depression, reduced sex drive, mood swings, achey bones joints which I know are a common factor when taking this drug.

I was advised to have these injections for my endo to lower the flow of bleeding which leads to pain relief with the endo. It has worked which I am really pleased about but the other symptoms have not been very pleasant to go through!

I am going through the menopause at 49 years old so double whammy. Night sweats mood swings which I sometimes think weather its the depo making me feel like this and no actually the menopause!! I really dont feel like "me" anymore.

Any advise from others that have gone through this would really be great and any alternative contraception for endo would be fab too.

I suspect it is the depo injection as it is awful from a pcos point of view and can make all the symptoms worse. Is there any sort of alternative to it (sorry not overly familiar with what helps with endo).

no problem, look on the endo forum as I am sure there will be pcos ladies on there too that have both conditions!
