I found a nice article about some reasons to love and honor the turkey. I was particularly interested in how Ben Franklin described the turkey and thought it would be a better choice than the eagle for National Bird...I would like to hear any interesting stories you know or can find about the turkey to honor it π¦. Maybe it's just a funny turkey or bird encounterπ . We know Kitten-whiskers enjoys birdsππ. Have a good day everyoneπππ¦.

Yes it's a cute soundππ. Look how comfortable they are around him too. Just have to learn to speak their language a little bit π€·ββοΈ. But many hunters will use their own calls against them, but still they trust this manπ.Thanks for sharing and have a good dayππ€
Thatβs very good you enjoy this day learning about Turkey. πππ¦πThank you for sharing your joy and have a good rest of the day with your family! π€
Happy Thanksgiving. What a lovely post ZazenRiver345. Maybe if more people where aware of this great facts, they would see them as living creatures and not food. I was ware that they could purr - they are so lovely aren't they and smart π
Yes I agree. We should all at least take some time to learn about these creatures before deciding to eat them. A big problem is many are introduced to chicken, turkey or other animals as food at such a young age. That's the first experience they have with them and dont think twice about it as they grow. Thanks for commenting and have a good nightππ.
There was someone here who unfortunately moved away a couple of years ago, but he loved animals and had sheep, alpacas and a turkey. The turkey was a huge male turkey π¦ He was always magnificent to see π¦
Sounds like he had lots of friendly animals... I dont remember seeing many big turkeys. Maybe I've seen mostly females out in the woodsπ€. Thanks for sharing Hππ
