Not sure I’ll be able to watch it but this is on tonight 9pm channel 4.
New series. Four families challenge their meat-eating habits by caring for farm animals in their homes. At the end of three weeks, they must decide whether to save their house guests and send them to a sanctuary or reintroduce them to the food chain - and face the prospect of the animals becoming their dinner. Cynthia, Sam and their daughters find their chicken guests highly entertaining, while Dawn, John, Max and Sam look after two piglets - and as they learn more about pig intelligence they research more about the health implications of processed meat, forcing them to question their entire attitude to what they eat.

I am with you on this Ali, I dont think I would have been able to sit through that, it might be a good way for meat eaters to think more about what they are eating. Hopefully there will be benefits to the animals
I am so glad I didn't watch it, I have stopped watching the environment ones as well now, as it is clear that although animals rights have come such a long way, we are still very much in the minority 😭
Hi Ali
I didn't realise that was on. I won't watch it either as I know it'll upset me if I do and I have a meat eating husband who doesn't agree that meat eating has an environmental impact.
I agree with Kitten-whiskers that although animal rights have come a long way we are definitely still in the minority. How many times do I see meat eaters roll their eyes if you mention the impact on the environment that meat eating has.
David Attenborough was a man before his time and it was so sad ☹ when he died. We need more like him in the public eye.
Oh right, so probably good one for your husband to watch and then maybe see what he thinks as it was good. Btw I'm not sure he has died. I think he is in his 90s and still alive and kicking 😊
