Organic v non-organic etc

β€’4 Replies

Hi all

I've just read this very interesting article which came up on my news page on my mobile. It talks about the percentages of pesticides in food, organic and non-organic.

They've said that if grazing land was converted to crop to land they'd be able to feed the whole of the population up until 2050 but people would need to be Vegetarian or Vegan. This is a win win in my book, not sure where well be in 2050 with our fresh food though.

Happy reading.

Great article Alicia. I buy organic, it is expensive but I don’t like the idea of eating vegetables which have been sprayed especially as vegetables are mainly what we eat.

Hi Ali

Thank you and I agree, I think fruit and vegetables are better organic. Where it becomes expensive is when your whole shop is organic. I would love to buy everything organic but I can't quite stretch to that.

I do think they need to be stricter on what they use on our food.
