Hello everyone, hope your day is joyful so far!๐ค
I love pesto sauce but I donโt like the way they usually make in the store by adding cheese so I made my own pesto sauce today and it is quite simple. Main ingredients are: fresh basils, kales, garlics, almonds, salt&peppers, chili powder and olive oil. All blended in food processor and jarred. Itโs good for a month in the fridge. ๐๐
Lunch/dinner: Organic, gluten-free Mung bean rotini mixed with pesto sauce along with steamed broccoli and asparagus. I love chopped parsley and sesame seeds sprinkles on this too.
Dessert: Jasmine tea ๐ต and oatmeal cookie.๐ช
As always, be inspired, be joyful, take a picture and Enjoy it! ๐โค๏ธ
I used to go there many moons ago and I always got the tuna sandwich but they put so much mayonnaise in that so my highlight used to be that cookie. ๐๐
Looks like so much nutrition in this dish๐๐. Really impressive. Basil pesto sauce would be a wonderful addition to some of my meals so thanks for the idea. Much better than store bought sauces๐๐. Thanks for sharing ๐ค๐.
I love how this sauce turned out, itโs great when I donโt have to taste the Parmesan cheese they usually have in pesto sauce. Plus I can add more almond in there. ๐๐
Oh when you make it, pick the leaves from basils and kales, leave out the stems, donโt blend them all in. ๐
I just donโt like the typical smell n taste of Parmesan cheese. Actually Iโm onto making my own Vegan cheese now, so simpleโฆcashew milk, water and lemon juice. I need to get my cheese cloth filter though ๐๐
