Today I made a puy lentil vegan shepherds pie. Along with the lentils it had onion, garlic, carrots, sweet potato, leeks, passatta, mushrooms and miso. I topped it with a mustard mash. I think this is great comfort food on a cold January evening.

Yes, because they were cheap they were seen as poor mans food werenβt they. Well my favourite way to eat lentils is a dhal with spices and turmeric so maybe you could fit that into your birthday feast.π
