“Energy balls”

I made these today as fancied something to have with a cup of tea and with the GBBO being on later I knew I would fancy something nice.

I think they are healthy so if anyone has any views on this I would be grateful.

I put all the following in my blender and blitzed it up, made it into balls and topped with 85% chocolate.

Almonds, desiccated coconut, hemp seeds, an apple, 5 dates, oats, coconut oil (about two teaspoons) and sesame seeds.

Next time I would miss off the oil and see if it still all held together but I have to say they are rather delicious 😋

Hi Ali, these look healthy and scrumptious to me...😊

They look delicious Ali and very healthy. Agree that you may be able to leave the oil out next time as the Apple, and particularly the dates should bind it all together. Well done.😀

Okay thank you for that. They are really nice so I will soon have eaten these and then I’ll try making them with no oil and see if they still stick together.

By looking at them I'm sure they will be gone in a flash. Am tempted to make them as well.

😀

They are nice. We had visitors and I bought bourbons and I don’t want to eat them as they have sugar in so to stop me being tempted I made these. 👍

Much better for you than bourbon, fortunately I don't really like biscuits that much. I'm a cheese and bread fiend and the Vegan cheese I had over the past few days was delicious. 😀

great stuff. cutting out the oil should be good. if in doubt replace with banana. Soaked chia seeds is another choice.
