Tonight we had burgers which I made by frying a little green pepper, onion, fresh coriander, chilli, garlic and mixing in kidney beans. Which I crushed a little bit... At this point I would usually add spelt flour or oats but as I am trying to incorporate more seeds I added sesame seeds and ground flax and chia. I fried them in a little oil and they held together very well. They were really flavoursome. In the seeded burger bun I put vegan mayo, spicy sauce, lettuce, red onion and gerkin, very quick and easy. Served with a side salad.

One thing that always puts me off burgers, even vegan ones is the bun. A good bun should make a burger, but I have yet to find one.
That’s interesting. As I am the same and often miss it off. The bun in the photo i found in the shop recently and it is quite soft although it doesn’t look it. If I serve it with wedges I wouldn’t have a bun.
I was used to ordering veggie burgers many years ago. I was okay so long as the bun was very thin and you don't almost taste it.
