my brother has got a cold and a blocked ear.

he was due to meet a friend, the friend arrived ten minutes late

"sorry. I've been into town buying cakes for old sailors."

it was only minutes later that he realised he'd said

"buying cakes from the wholesalers". :D

Sandra, with all due respect, I find it most disconcerting to find a lot of your posts on here. My husband and I log on every morning to check the HealthUnlocked input to see if we can either add something constructive, ask something constructive or learn something new about this terrible disease.

I think it's great to read lighthearted things but I feel some of yours are inappropriate to this site. I'm not a moderator but find that I'm tending to stop looking at this site for fear of finding another irrelevant post from you. Maybe the Facebook site would be better (I don't use that).

Don't want to upset you or anyone else by these comments, but they are just my opinion.

Nadine, you are entitled to voice your opinions.

I hope you will continue to visit the site.

you might notice that my lighthearted posts have a smile icon or the word fun to identify them as such. this means you can skip them if you want to.

regards,

sandra.

Sorry but this made me chuckle, if you don't want any fun, skip to the next post ;-)

Dear Hamble,

It's amazing how a few 'warmer' nights can make 'some peoples' grapes so sour, isn't it! Clearly we do need to be serious much/most, of the time but, come on, 'time out' now and again surely!

You carry on with the occasional 'funny' and ignore the 'Old Grouse'!

Hope you are feeling better now S. I'll 'email' you privately, when I get time (some joke currently).

Best wishes AndrewT

My opinion is that Sandra very often cheers me up so please carry on with your posts.

This illness is depressing enough so a little light relief is welcome.

freedom of speech,as someone who was banned from the facebook site, for expressing an opinion,i say carry on sandra

I like Sandra's posts, we should have lighthearted stuff and the more serious. I think it's good for people who are new on here who may have just been diagnosed, they will see that it's not all doom and gloom with this illness and we do still laugh and smile :-)

Let's face it, you can never please everyone!

I appreciate the nice comments and it does my heart good to read them, thankyou. :)

We are all different and we're all entitled to our opinions.

I think that these conditions are frightening and worrying and I need a lightness.

sometimes we can't help answer a question, but we can share a smile. :)

regards,

sandra.

I quite agree with sandra99b, we all have enough frightening things to worry about, do we also have a 'crab' without a sense of humour too?? As nannie says you can never please everyone, just carry on telling odd funny stories, they do amuse most of us; thank you- keep up the good work!

Many thanks AndrewT
