Can anyone recommend any hospitals in or nea... - Vasculitis UK
Can anyone recommend any hospitals in or near South Wales for treatment of Vasculitis?
Depends what is affected but Professor Dick at the Bristol Eye Hospital is top of his tree re vasculitis in the eyes.
Oh yes we have come across Prof Dick....no, this young lady has been asking and she has Takayasu ....she lives in South Wales...thank you for getting back to us..
Once admitted to hospital in Neville Hall in Abergavenny, I had very good care. Some months after discharge from hospital I saw Prof McHugh at the Royal Min in Bath, who was extremely helpful. At that time Bath had a specialist nurse who advises too; this support may still be in place. More recently Dr Jayne at Addenbrookes suggested I see Dr Griffin (Renal consultant) at the Heath Hospital in Cardiff. I saw her as an extra opinion (my regular consultant is a chest consultant - I have Churg Strauss) and she was great.
Thank you Jan... have you completed the Hospital Survey? It would be great if you could ...the more information we have about all hospitals the better...
Dr Jayne at Camebridge hospital iam under him for W/G and they seem to have sorted me out. He does a lot of research into Vasculitus both in this country and abroad.
i live near Llanidloes in Mid Wales and i recieve my treatment from Dr Rees, rheumatologist at Hereford Hospital, herefordshire
Hope that helps
Mike
