Hi everyone,

Was just wondering if anyone here is having DSG treatment? It's not been confirmed yet but this could be the next option for me and I wanted to know a little about it.

I've never come across xlinicians using 15-Deoxyspergualin for ANCA associated vasculitis but found a small study from 2003 which suggests it can be effective. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/125...

Might I enquire the circumstances that this drug is being prescribed as it's certainly not a mainstream treatment route as far as I'm aware. To be frank, I'm asking whether you're confident your consultant is fully conversant with your vasculitis and the range of treatments on offer. My apologies if I'm off the mark but we've come across countless supposed experts who in reality were just ignorant/arrogant and hiding behind an ego.

Hiya, no it isn't a mainstream treatment as yet but as I am not improving at the moment, the treatment came up in conversation, nothing is final or even agreed yet but I just wanted to know more about the drug. Thank you for asking about my consultant, I have really good care, I go to Addenbrookes and see a vasculitis specialisit, even though I am not to well at the moment, I trust them completely with the care decisions they make
