Has anyone been told they have Limited Wegeners and if so what explanation was given and what treatment was given?

When I was first diagnosed in 2003 my WG was labelled "Limited", I thought that sounded good. I thought I'd have it for a limited time or I only had a minor variety of whatever it was that was wrong with me.. However, I've always had good doctors and they explained that it meant limited to one particular area, ie upper respiratory. It was my ENT who said you can't have a little WG just as you can't be a little bit pregnant. WG is WG.

The treatment was the same as for WG anywhere in the body - Cyclo, Pred, then CellCept and Pred and now Azathioprine and Pred.

I was told it was classed 'limited' if the kidneys weren't involved.
