Thanks Zoe, really interesting. I was diagnosed with GCA initially because I had a tender scalp however after further blood tests indemnified ANCA PR3 it was re diagnosed as GPA. Nick.

I had tender scalp when I was diagnosed with GPA. My rheumy was baffled as I was away too young to have GCA. Interesting to hear someone else experiencing the same symptom.

I had other symptoms like persistent headache (not in the temples) and shoulder and neck pains which again are consistent with GCA, interestingly there is something the medics call “crossover syndrome where patients diagnosed with GCA within a few weeks develop GPA but not visa versa. It does make you wonder. I think though the treatment for GPA is the fix of all fixes if successful so belt and braces. Nick.
