Thanks Rusty. I hope you 're treatment is working. What strain vasculitis do you have? My rash as you saw is only slight when compared to yours. I wonder if they do vary. Mine is more like raised white lumps that go red are itchy and bleed.

There are some good information sheets on the vasculitis uk website and, a link to a video clip on you tube which explains the types.

Mine looked nothing like that but I think that's varying types and effects. Brave to share though.

Hi Rusty,

Do you have symptoms other than skin symptoms?

Hi not sure what you mean what kind of symptoms are you looking for or I’m being daft lol

My legs feel like a lump of lead in the morning and have to move it up and down for awhile to loosen it up don’t know what causes that

Did ask about the colour as it can change to a dark colour nearly black and got told it will be there all the time to do with age as welll

I’m getting good answering your question 😂😂😂

Have you got a vasculitis problem

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. What I meant was do you have lung, kidney, visual disturbances , musculoskeletal pain?; I am C- ANCA positive, meaning I have the PR3 antibody for Granulomatosis Polyangetitis) ( ie. Wegener's Granulomatosis)in my blood work results., one form of vasculitis.

The only symptoms that I could not ignore, and which took me to the doctor, were new and unusual, severe upper body pain in shoulders, neck, arms, hands, fingers, etc. Many blood tests done by a rheumatologist; I also had a granuloma annulare, a growth on my hand which was biopsied.

Now I have rashes on my lower legs and feet, but reddish, individual markings, some raised, some flat; now on my arms and chest. I am on 8mg. Prednisone and 1 time per week Methotrexate 15mg. I also had a blocked tiny vein in my left eye which caused vision loss for a few minutes; that showed up on ultrasound doppler.

So I was wondering if your skin disorder is the only involvement ?As vasculitis flares can pop up in any area or organ of the body, the lower legs and feet , a common site of the rashes? Are you on medication? There are many types of vasculitis, hard to get a precise diagnosis

I don't think age is much of a factor as young people can get vasculitis diseases.

Best wishes and good luck..I hope you have a good doctor knowledgeable about vasculitis.

Yes, you answer very well. This group is full of questions and answers as well as support for each other.

Good morning I have been thinkinking about what you have been saying yes other than what I told you yesterday yes I have other things going on that I don’t think it has anything to do with vasculitis but I don’t know as I have a doctor who doesn’t care he puts all my problems done to my pills

My legs are stinging at moment but will pass of shortlyi have had skin cancer cut out some bad ones some of the benign ones my main concern at moment is my eyes which he says is my pills but I have asked for a optician to come I don’t know what other problems I have at moment o as for kidney I have a transplant but that is nothing to do with vasculitis as that was 26 years ago brilliant musculature problems yes I have not heard of wegners whatever but will look into it

It looks like it’s going to be a lovely day today so do try to enjoy it
