Can I ask if anyone gets really sleepy when the Rituximab is due? My partner is having his next week and for the past couple of weeks he’s slept most of the day. Just wondering if it’s to do with this. Thanks for taking the time to read this x

I’m sorry your partner is unwell at the moment. Are they in the middle of a relapse as this might explain the severe fatigue.? Have read that he has kidney enrolment, are his bloods etc ok ?

Hope they feel better after infusion, remember RTX is a slow burner and can take a while to have effect.

Sending warm thoughts to you, it’s not easy being the partner.

I am due one the week after next. I am definitely not fatigued. I am classed as in remission. It would suggest your husband is heading towards relapse or something else is going on. Personally I watch my resting heart rate like a hawk now as that shot up when I was in the throws of Vasculitis. Good luck.

Hi Dot1958, I feel sleepy / fatigued when the Rituximab is doing it’s stuff, for me 10 weeks after infusion to about 10 weeks before so a period of about 6 - 7 weeks. But we are all different, the drug can work at different times in different people. They will have checked his bloods prior to infusion I guess so if they were ok then I would mention it but wouldn’t be worried unduly.

No probs, y’know I used to worry my socks off in the first year, every little thing I thought was major but you get to recognise certain things and you get used to them. The wonderful, astute people on this forum which have become like a distant family are what it’s all about, the help I have had from people I will never forget.
