I am suffering from Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) from past 7 years now. It is non curable disease yet controllable from medicines if treated on right time.

Symptoms of this disease can vary patient to patient - in 2014 my symptoms was nose blockage, joint pain, blood from month & nose, and it affected my nose badly and turned into saddle nose.

I have taken defcort for 5 years 2014 to 2018. And MMF for 3 to 4 years.

From past 2 years I was taking only bactrium DS.

I was perfectly fine from past 2 years 2018 - 2020 September and suddenly my disease relapsed for the 3rd time. This time with NO symptoms. Was feeling pain in my left hand only and got test and ESR was 120.

I request GPA patients to please get tested after every 2 months if you see your ESR is going up then please consult your doctor immediately.

This is not a disease where we can wait.

I know we cannot see ourselves in mirror because of MOON FACE sometimes this is very very irritating. As we have think our beauty is going away. We think negative , sometimes we think no body understands us coz of our mood swings.

We should think positive and this time shall pass.
