Just a quick one I’m still have my symptomatic vasculitis after 5 yrs off various treatments ahh but seem to ok to a certain degree, still medicated but it’s staysAway in its harshest form, but still get little flares Every now and then but I now seem to get side effects now from meds that I have taken for yrs, has anyone out there had steroid induced galcoma cause 5 yrs off steroid abuse for my condition is making other parts off my body not really gd if you know what I mean just looking to see if it’s not just me how suffered from side effects off pred

Hi Tazmoe. I have been off meds for 18 months and am being monitored yearly for glaucoma. My eye pressure is always at the highest level of normal so I don’t currently have glaucoma. This why I was taken off steroids. I think it’s a known side effect of steroids. Very worrying though. 🙄

Sadly that can happen and cataracts from steroids. Regular optician appointments are necessary.

Im getting a cataract in one eye steroid induced after 5 years on them.
