I used to, fairly often, 'Talk' to poemsgalore on these pages. (S)he seems to have Disappeared- was it Something I, or any of us, Said?

If you are About, I have a couple of Poems, that I'd like to share.

Hope to hear, from you soon.

For this one, you have to imagine, that Old Friends have met up. The Adults are Chatting, in the lounge/ conservatory or other such room.....BORING! The children are playing 'Hide & Seek'.....This little girl, probably around seven or eight, has found 'The Bestist Hiding Place, In The Whole Wide World- Even The Universe' and 'NO-ONE is Ever, Ever, Ever, EVER going to find her there!

Hiding there, in the dark,

This, really is, a lark,

A perfect place, to 'hide' herself,

Just 'be careful', of the shelf!,

Hoping that the Dog, won't betray,

The Wonderful place, in which she lay,

Keeping quite as a mouse,

As they search the entire house,

That was close 'They', came near,

Good job Bob cannot hear,

Finally 'Found', in time, for tea,

With a Shout and Whoop, of glee.

For the second one, I've rolled time On a 'Bit'....It's Christmas, normal chaos ensuing.....

Children, run, jump and play,

Indeed they Chase Around all day,

Mums, and Dads, search for This and That,

A pair of socks, perhaps a hat,

The Pretty Lights seem so bright,

A truly Magical and Beautiful sight,

Santa is dressed and ready to 'please',

Just, so long, as Mary doesn't Sneeze!,

A 'Simple' gift, or something bigger,

a Joke Book, will make her Snigger,

So Good Cheer, to one and all,

Be you big, or maybe, small,

And MERRY CHRISTMAS, is the Cry,

Here's to a Happy New Year 2019.

I know that the 'last bit' doesn't quite rhyme, I'll re-write it- when I have the time!!!!

I think that, these two poems, 'work' fairly well....Well Not Bad anyway. I'll have to Dig Out, the one that I wrote, a few years ago-

…..and Uncle 'You know who',

Who is a 'Dab Hand', with the glue,

So never mind the Broken bits,

or Auntie with her great big....FEET!

I can't remember, the rest, Off Hand. If you are interested I wrote four about 'The Seasons'- these are laminated, into a Place Mat.

Have you written Anything lately? I'd LOVE to read them.

I'm glad the you are still around Poemsgalore1, I have missed you. I know that your, ever sharp wit, is sometimes a pile of....Roses!

Look forward to hearing, from you.

Warmest wishes

They are very good Andrew. I don't write so much now Andrew, too tired. But I'll post a couple:

They wait.

For breakfast,

lunch,

tea,

supper

bedtime.

The clock ticks slowly

marks the hours of life.

The sun moves

shadows follow

carefully avoiding eyes

of those who watch

and wait.

Their eyes grow dim,

it’s too late.

They watch no more.

The sun won’t reach through.

Their shutters are down

locking out the world

and life.

They wait no more.

*************************

Anticipation

She bit into the skin,

juice oozed over her lips

and down her chin.

Her flicking tongue caught the drips.

Flesh stuck between her teeth and gums

the gelatinous mass slid down her throat,

as she devoured the last plum.

As for my wit - well it smells anyway. LOL :-o

Dear poemsgalore1,

I Like, both of these, however, the First One IS a 'tad' morbid perhaps. I'm sorry that your not writing, as many, now POEMS GALORE....Maybe now 'Poemsonoccasion', or even 'poemswhenifeelable' might be a better 'Name'? Please DON'T stop entirely though, you have a 'Real Talent' honestly you do.

I'm currently making Roasted Pumpkin, and Ginger, soup I bought a White (Ghost) Pumpkin. It was a little 'Marked', on one side- for maybe Fifteen (twenty?) Percent- the rest look Lovely though. I might, have expected, a Slight price reduction due to the marking, that would have been fair.....This Pumpkin was originally priced at £3:00, I paid...….wait for this.....TEN PENCE! I 'Generously' removed, the 'Bad' bit, cut it into Strips, and filled a large Roasting Dish AND a Pyrex dish FULL, of Pumpkin- I'm going to roast it first. How much Pumpkin did I have Over? Well er, um, actually, OVER half! I have just removed the Pumpkin, from the oven- nicely roasted. Next I'll let it Stand, for about twenty minutes- maybe half an hour. I am going to add Ginger, I already have the root. Sometime I'll write a Poem, about this, but for now if Anyone, so much, as 'Mentions' Pumpkins...…..!

I have just put the washing, from this MORNING, over the clothes horse- I'm NOT 'behind', at all, you understand! I have also put a 'rinse cycle' on and added Citric Acid. I DO use an 'anti-scale' tablet, on every wash, but it does no harm now and again.

I think I have Blabbed On, long enough now, so I'll say Cheerio. Hope that you feel better soon. Once again, I liked the Poems.

Warmest wishes

Ok You asked, for this, poemsgalore1. Here are my Four Seasons Poems.

The Seasons come, and they go,

People change, as they grow,

Children play, throughout the year,

Filling Everyone, with cheer.

WINTER

Wintertime and Everything feels quite good,

The Tree, is finished, and so's the pud,

Children Squabble, about 'This and That',

And THOSE shoes, make you look....erm...an Idiot!,

So Here's to a year, that's Full of cheer,

And a Solum wish, for a Happy New Year.

SPRING

Sheets, to wash, and clothes to fold,

Rather, more sun, and much less cold,

Time, to think, of places to go,

Gardens, to tend, and lawns to mow,

Life 'springing out' all about,

Fishermen gladly catching, the trout,

Everything returning, in every way,

Children running out to play.

SUMMER

The sun is out and 'Tans' the crowd,

Radios, and 'Boom Boxes', are much too loud!,

Bar-B-Ques smoke and make 'Funny Smells',

People Foraging and collecting Shells,

Children splashing, in the sea,

Everyone 'Happy As Can Be?'.

AUTUMN

Leaves, from trees, beginning to fall,

A 'Lovely Sight', for one and all,

Misty mornings, and starting to 'chill',

Very hard work, down at the mill,

Everything preparing, for the 'Freeze',

Catching a 'cold', and starting to sneeze,

The Heating working, for a change,

People cooking, on the Range.

I think these work, quite well, for the Most Part anyway. What do you think poemsgalore?- or indeed anyone? I have 'done' some simple 'Graphics', to go with each Poem, and have had them Laminated into a Place mat- which seemed a good idea.

Very best 'Poet-y Wishes'

Hi Y'all, I have enjoyed all of your poems! I hope you continue to write them. I mostly write quick haiku as a therapy to distract and console myself when things are less than great. Here's a few of the "Pill Poems"

Pebbles of powder

Save me day by day, ever

Vital as breathing

...........

Pebbles in a stream

Flowing waters glide past

Safely keeping life

...........

Little medicines

Of health remains within reach

Life or death my choice

...........

Powders of power

Both Light and dark. Yin and yang.

Bring both bad and good

...........

I have more... just written on scraps of paper floating around... maybe should write one about my lost poems

Cheers, Grace
