Hi I'm just wondering if anyone can help me with a cheap good insurance as I have just been diagnosed with the wegeners disease and the cheapest one I have found is £200.

First thing is cheap isn't always the best. Sometimes the cheap policies don't properly cover pre-existing medical conditions. So make sure you read the small print.

Often, though, it's best to go through trusted insurers who specialise in covering existing conditions. Try these ones for starters. Vasculitis UK has a great page of links to them at

I've always been covered by Freedom, who do online screening, and had even had my 1 in a million incidence form of vasculitis in their online database. But you may have more luck elsewhere.

Also I am assuming that you're asking about travel insurance. Health insurance would be very difficult to get with vasculitis. Life insurance virtually impossible to get.

Hi Nadsrziguix. I also use Freedom Insurance and have used them for singe trip insurance for a number of years. I've found the website easy enough to use. For a week in Greece they recently quoted me £94 for self and spouse. However as with all insurance companies you only find out how good they are if you find you have to make a claim. Chris

GPA is another name to look at with wegeners Insurance here in us their are so many just get one the better the more mony .
