Help for GPA .

Worried about my mothers Wegener grannulomotosis (GPA). Now she has pain in left leg also she has no sens in her right leg below the knee.now days she was susuffering from lots of pain ,fire,bite,chill in her left leg she has excruciating pain in her leg when pain starts we don't know what to do she has first attempt of retuximab1mg dose yesterday doctor says she has to bear this pain for another couple of days.

Please guide me side effects of retuximab and chances to walk independently she wants to travel more to see her most favorate places.

Hi,

I am so sorry to hear your mum is suffering so much at the moment. Rituximab is a wonder drug for so many with GPA but doesn't work for everyone and peripheral neuropathy can be particularly challenging to treat.

The best person to answer your questions is your Mum's Consultant as they have all the facts to hand. It's impossible for anyone on here to speculate on your mum's recovery but I hope that she does manage to travel again.
