I have 6 nodules on my lungs with no explanation... Waiting to get diagnosed.. Very frustrated.. Can it be from vasculitis?

I had nodules in my lungs when I first got diagnosed definitely caused by vasculitis. Haven't had a CT scan since so I can't say if I still have, or if I got scaring. I had appointments to test my lungs and I scored too high for them to send me back for another scan.

I have Wegeners and recently had a biopsy of a nodule on the lung. It was just inflammation . Doctors said it was best to just leave it and do nothing.

I too started off with back pain and after xray found that I had lung nodules, then had a biopsy to confirm cause. Nothing serious then was later diagnosed with Wegener's. I have had further xrays and the nodules have now cleared. They will need other symptoms before a diagnosis though for vasculitis!

In short yes. I have Wegeners AKA GPA. My particulate problem is that mine come and go. It is why my diagnosis has taken so long. Most people with the disease, I am told that normally people with the disease have these things showing always but that I get them and then they disappear once the rigor attack has stopped. I cough blood for a couple of weeks afterward too.

It's never easy and can be frightening but hopefully you will be treated quickly and effectively

HI

I have had mpa for about tonal six years. In DEcember I developed a nasty cough and my gp sent me for a chest X-ray .The X-ray showed nodules in my lungs and he put me on a cancer care fast track although he thought it might be connected taxi ab to my Vasculitis. He wasn't sure but thought it best to be on the safe side.

I ended up getting a bit of a run around from the chest dept and everything was taking ages .I was feeling lousy still in late January so I contacted my Vasculitis consultant.I was sent right away for a ct scan and additional blood tests and they diagnosed that the nodules were indeed Vasculitis related.I was having a flare which manifested itself in my lungs.

With jI was given another dose of rituximab and put back on prednisilone 5g.Pretty soon I was feeling much better

.If you have valready been diagnosed with Vasculitis I suggest you see your specialist ASAP.
