Who knows or cares if you have inflamed arteries which can cause a vast number of very serious health problems? By supporting voluntary and charitable organisations, the profile of GCA can be raised so that more doctors will become aware and be able to treat it before it leads to permanent damage.

What exactly is GCA? Is Wenegers GPA similar?
This link will go someway to explaining a little about GCA/TA poppet2 vasculitis.org.uk/about-vas...
and this link will tell you about WG (GPA) vasculitis.org.uk/about-vas...
GCA is a type of Vasculitis which is described as a large vessel type of Vasculitis and WG (GPA) is described as a small vessel type of Vasculitis. This link describes the different types. vasculitis.org.uk/about-vas...
There can be a crossover of different types but this is rare.
Best wishes
Susan
