I have developed and open sore on an old scar and a couple of smaller ones on my face. Can I put this down to TAK?

Hi Cath

All I know about Takysu's is what I've read. Blanching of extremities and/or lesions can be one of the symptoms but if you have had these before and they are reappearing then I would think that your consultant should be contacted to ensure that you aren't having a relapse. Sorry I can't be of any further assistance but hope that helps.

Hi kath,

I am having a similar problem and with Vasculitus you can never be to careful, So I would go with pats advice and make an appointment with main hospital team carer. I am seeing mine on thurs so after I have been I might be able to give you a little better of an Idea.

Hope this helps

Dave.

I don`t know if this will be of any help, I have Microscopic polyangiitis, I also have a colostomy.

Because M.P. has at times caused my skin to deteriorate very badly, the removal of an adhesive bag 2 or 3 times a day being the cause of the open sores, I have found the application of Manuka honey to the affected parts to be a very speedy solution, I thought it was an old wives tale, but it really does work.

Only if your consultant agrees .

best of luck Tony
