Hi, I had a heart transplant! - Kidney Transplant...
Hi, I had a heart transplant!
Hi, Hope is all well with you now, I also live in Kent, and had a kidney transplant 11years ago, and am doing well so far x
Hi I live in portsmouth, in the south of england, its about an hours drive from sevenoaks, i used to live in sevenoaks, i ran a pub in tunbridge wells as well for about 2 years! kent is a lovely area. X
Why you in portsmouth then lol
its my home town and i got homesick, it has a strange hold on people, they do nothing but moan about it when they are here and miss it when they are not!
You had any luck with romance yet
sort of, i met a girl on a dating site who has systic fibrosis so she has to go to hospital alot, she said she would like to get to know me, we was texting yesterday but nothing today, dont want to txt her though, dont want to seem to pushy! any way i am making a website at the mo, it gives me something to do!
Ha ha I used to work in tun wells, how weird is that, what a small world it is x
well i ad a renal transplant, but i dont live in tunbridge wells!i is in wales!
My brother got tested friday to see if i can have one of his
My husband has been tested to see if I can have one of his as I am rejecting my present one that I have had for 10 years. He is a different blood type to me so they are recommending that we join a group where he offer his to a match and they offer me a match from the partner of the other recipient. I should know next week if he is well enough to go into a group and then the matches are run every three months so it is a bit hit and miss but my hospital did do six matches in the last quarter.
Good luck with your brother.
Oh god i wish i could help i hope my brother is a match i have had quiet a few family and friends come forward i just hope that one is a match. Have they told you how long this will take
They try to match every three months when doing a group match as they try to get as many as possible to give a better chance. The normal wait for a kidney seems to vary but is about 18 months. My sister was a wonderful match for me so I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Really kent is nice i like it how did you end up in portsmouth?
check out renalbuddies.webs.com its a site i made as i cant work now, it gave me something to do, its still being made but check it out and join if you like it. ty
