4 Months Post Kidney Transplant

40 year old female, 4 months post transplant .. just looking for a support team who undergone the same things as i am experiencing right now as a post transplant patient. It could be frustrating because I don't have someone to talk to or ask advices and stuff of what I'm going through. I feel like this website is really helpful as I was reading some of the comments , and they're all the same stuff that I've been dealing with after transplant . I'm looking forward to learn more from others .

Last week I got my labs result and my creatinine was up from 1.12 to 1.47 ,and is considered high according to my transplant coordinator, I don't know really why and how it happened I never had an increase in creatinine since 4 months ago and this bothers me a lot.They just realized started my Myfortic again after holding it for a week and a half because of low WBC. And also my blood pressure is high and it's never high like that on the 150's since September. I don't know if it's side effects of the Zarxio shots or re starting my Myfortic any body have this experience before? And tontop it all off they told me that I have BK virus or the numbers are high.

A lot of your symptoms could well be part of the BK virus. What I would say is rather than getting yourself worried and frantic which will also send your BP sky high, talk to your transplant team and make sure you put all your concerns to them and make sure they answer them as best they can. Have they given You Prednisone steroids?? If not the virus may just be starting to act up, but they will monitor you very closely to keep an eye on those numbers. It’s easy for me to say don’t panic, however until your team says this is a problem try relax and enjoy being you!!! Try relaxation strategies to keep your BP down and take it one day at a time. Please keep me informed on how things go. Fingers and toes crossed for you 😉

Okay sweetie just remember we can only advise you on our situations. Always ask your Renal team If something doesn’t feel right. I have everything crossed for you hunny xxx

HI CHARLEN 24.. I HAVE BEEN LUCKY DURING TO TIME AFTER TRANSPLANT.BUT I THINK WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT I DID NO STRENUOUS WORK FOR THE FIRST FOUR MONTHS .JUST WALKS..THEN 2 DAYS A WEEK FOR THE NEXT MONTH..AND KEEP POSITIVE...ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND OTHERS..CHRIS

I am 49 5 months post creatine all over place showing inflamation just started iv prednisone weeding of to pull form lowest I got was 3.1 now 5.0 going on 3rd day
