The audiologist in the States who posts on this you tube channel offers lots of videos with suggestions for for help with habituation. There are loads of case studies. He provides recordings of masking sounds too. That's all free. But he also offers an initial teleconsultatiin with one of the team and a personalised treatment plan. I haven't clicked to show interest. Yet. They won't be free, of course. And ot would all he video consultation because its in the States. He does lots of interviews with published audiologists around the world, including UK, so I think he's the real deal. I just wondered if anyone else has used Treble Health's personalised treatment service?

As i have not been sleeping at all i have been trawling around the internet for a glimmer of hope.....The chap on Treble Health is all over You Tube and when you listen to him he does sound convincing , he sells a package of noise masking stuff and listening to one of his conversations with a patient who apparently dropped his tinnitus right down in three months was using as he described it the expensive ear buds which i assume were WNG.... on another session he introduced you to a female audiologist who was real eye candy ,so was not sure if that was to entice you to join and pay, i tried some of his sound tracks wanting them to be for me but have not found one yet which seems to help... coupled with the fact they are in the USA...

He added a track that is water bubbling plus fire crackling which was surprisingly effective for me in a very bad night. It played for hours with no adverts too.

I managed to sleep til 4 and that was it for the night. The racket started almost as soon as I became conscious as usual. Have lessons to prepare and evening class to teach, and 3 hours tutoring tomorrow morning. It's hard! I keep telling myself my body will eventually take the sleep it needs, tinnitus or no tinnitus! I'm trying not to take over the counter sleep aids but iccasionally when I'm desperate, I do take 1 1/2 One a Night Kalms, which is allowed. Last night Eckhart Tolle did a live meditation from the States and I just lay there listening to the you tube recording. It was relaxing at least!

I bought a box of one a night Kalms first night i was surprised to get 2 hours sleep when the pill

kicked in then nothing on nights after , just a sick feeling and very loud T... last night was agonising ,,, was issued some travel sickness pills from the doctor which apparently make you sleep... finally at 2am i decided to take one.... again no sleep just dozing and feeling groggy until 11am this morning again with 10 grade noises rattling my head off... now its the dreaded evening again,,, a time ive begun to hate.... what should i do tonight,,, pill taken earlyer to see what happens or not ....

I relate to the dread of nighttime. My heart starts thudding when I get into my room. I listen to a meditation on my blutooth when I get into bed to calm me down. Sometimes I just listen to an undemanding podcast. It sometimes get a few hours, then wake have difficulty after that. I think that's a common experience for t sufferers. It sounds like you need proper medical support. What's happening support-wise for you? I start well-being support in 2 weeks, a month earlier than expected according to wait list. Have you had diagnostic tests etc?

I think I got in touch with him a few years back for a personal consultation for my partner but he couldn’t help as we were based in the UK I’m not sure if that’s still the same

I think he has a team of audiologists who work remotely with clients because he saw a comment I had left in a thread about being in UK and he replied that he could still help. I just said that I had noted his response and would think about it but was still exploring avenues for support in UK.

I think it would also be worth flagging up this list on our website - tinnitus.org.uk/join-the-ca... -which is where our list of corporate members lives.

Folks like Dr Gladys Sanda, Peter Byrom, Alan Hopkirk (Invisible Hearing Clinic), Halo Hearing Solutions amongst others can help with audiological support which is tailored for people experiencing difficult tinnitus. And they're UK-based, just like Dianne Hammond, Isabella Fisher, NorthEast Hearing & Balance, Soundful Silence Hearing, Audiological Specialist Care, Always Ear, Express Diagnostics and Hear Well Ltd.

If you happen to live in Malta, you can also look up Hear Again Malta.

Comprehensive enough for a Friday morning? 😀
