One ear Tinnitus - EcoG test

Hello community,

I wanted to share that I'm 32 year old male and I'm having one-ear Tinnitus for last 3+ weeks.

The Tinnitus is more prominent during the night when there is silence.

I have visited GP and ENT doctor. After the latest diagnosis, the ENT pointed me to take Electrocochleography (EcoG) test for the ear having Tinnitus.

I'm very nervous, since EcoG is invasive procedure does it make sense to go for it? Should I reach out to different Dr. for a second opinion?

Please do let me know your thoughts and anything that would help me. Thank you!

Sorry I don't know about that procedure but you are obviously anxious about it so a second opinion sounds like a sensible way forward.Good luck x
