Apparently one of the recommended treatment nowadays is sound therapy. So theres Pink, Brown . Blue. Red. White. and Violet.
Any one tried these. Just a bit wary to have one of them on all night .

Hi Kelly,
When I had my audiologist appointment I asked about this and they said that it’s fine to have them on all night but to make sure that the sound doesn’t totally mask the tinnitus. So just have it slightly quieter. This is to help your brain habituate but also have something else to focus on. Hope that helps a bit. I use brown noise most nights because that’s the one I personally find most soothing.

hi try them all out one will appeal more than the others - white noise is the harshest, pink less so and brown is soft sounding.
All these colour sounds contain the same broadband frequency spectrum from low to high frequencies but crucially the volume of the frequencies are altered depending on the colour which makes them sound different.
white noise is an even volume of all frequencies
pink has the higher frequency volumes ducked down a little.
brown has the higher frequencies lowered even further so the lower frequencies seem more noticeable.
Hi, I use the masking sound of ocean waves, also running water on my hearing aids, have tried the white, brown, etc masking sounds but these were not for me. The think with T is what suits one person will not help others. I have the sound just below the sound of my T and sometimes I will have it on several hours a day, I do not use the masking sounds at night as luckily I manage to sleep at night.
Hello. I’ve used white noise overnight for many years, it helps to mask the T. There are lots of YouTube videos you can try. I also use an App called Sleep Pillow, there’s a free version. I have a sound generator machine by the side of the bed, the RNID sell them or give you links to buy them. They are on eBay and Amazon too.
thank you . I bought the RNID sound machine 20 years ago . the heartbeat one worked for me.. Sadly doesnt on this new T . Ill try the Sleep pillow .
