Hi - I have musical tinnitus 24/7 but also get the morse code sounds quite frequently. I also get a sound like Cicadas. I believe a lot of people experience these sounds but at least they do subside after a while. I tell myself it is my inner ear trying to repair itself after profound hearing loss - I live in hope! x
I developed tinnitus after a head bump (at top back of head ) and a mild concussion - I have feeling my tinnitus is something to do with pressure on the vestibulocochlear nerve. Although my MRI seems fine - i think a MRA would show a problem like this much better. Audiologist thinks its the standard hearing loss tinnitus but even though some hearing loss was detected , I had no T at all before the head bump. If it outwith the normal noise induced or hearing loss T and scan is ok then anything else is not really looked into
Good morning, I would be interested to know how you discovered that your particular typewriter clicking sounds are a subtype and what has caused it. I too have typewriter clicking but not daily - the rest is high pitched interference sounds with an occasional motorbike revving up thrown in, but its once once in a while. Upon reading all the posts today, it makes me so sad to know there is still no cure on the horizon...so many people are suffering and I empathise fully with all of you. I have had a spike for the last few weeks and wondered if it was connected with the change in weather... I'm always trying to find a reason. Thank you to all who share their experiences = they are helpful as having T is such an isolating experience - I feel so trapped at times, but have learned to cope and habituate for long periods in between the spikes. I don't want to have T for the rest of my life but I have had to accept this, like it or not. All the very best.
