my tinnitus won't go away at the moment. Vitamin d usually spikes mine, but its been nearly 2 weeks since ive been in the sun and its usually calmed down by now. Not sure whats going on, but a lot of people seem to be suffering more at the moment. But meds can cause/ make tinnitus worse.

I didn’t have T before I had Covid vaccinations.

I never had any. Alot of people got tinnitus from covid vac. Mine started after i had radio active iodine to ablate my thyroid. Just can't work out why.

Thankfully my T seems to be calming down…..so I am waiting to get a few other medical probs sorted out…I have RA…then I’m going to ‘discuss’ whether to have the Covid Autumn booster…my inclination is No Way…but doc will probably disagree.🤔

I didn’t either. They are still trying to say that it’s rare for that to happen but I sure hear about it happening to alot of people

check out a guy call Liam Bohem he has lots of videos on you tube about curing Tinnitus. Have a look on Instagram to he’s amazing he has cured so many people though his program called Triumph over Tinnitus.

just remember, its your body, if you don't want it, you don’t have to have it. He can't make you do anything.

My long term tinnitus changed to Pulsatile tinnitus, after first vaccine. Even my ent consultant advised me not to have anymore boosters.

Both Bendroflumethiazide and Losartan are listed in the document "Prescription Medications, Drugs, Herbs & Chemicals Associated with Tinnitus" from the American Tinnitus Association, but the list of drugs is very long. They also say "Just because a drug is listed does not mean that you will automatically get tinnitus, or exacerbate existing tinnitus, if you take it" and "Anyone reading this list of ototoxic drugs is strongly advised NOT to discontinue taking any prescribed medication without first contacting the prescribing physician".

In the document "Pharmacological drugs inducing ototoxicity, vestibular symptoms and tinnitus: a reasoned and updated guide" published in the European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences, Bendroflumethiazide is not mentioned but Losartan potassium is indicated as potentially 'vertigo-generating' (but not for tinnitus).

Regarding tinnitus appearing or worsening after a Covid vaccination, my view is that an awful lot of people have had the Covid vaccinations and an awful lot of people have or will get tinnitus, so there will inevitably be quite a number of coincidences of people getting tinnitus or having a spike in the days following a Covid jab.

Funnily enough, we've just been made aware of this study in the latest issue of "The Laryngoscope", a publication aimed at the ENT sector, which suggests that people are statistically more likely to develop tinnitus after having a flu vaccination:

onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi...

Much as we would advise that getting vaccinated is a good way to lessen the impact of COVID infection, we would also suggest that having a flu jab is a good way to lessen the impact of flu infections.

The difficulty in proving any link between vaccines and tinnitus is the lack of objective biomarkers - and the evidence is also considerable that underlying causes of tinnitus like age-related hearing loss can develop for years without being identified. There's a lot of ambiguity about what causes tinnitus, let alone how it might be treated.
