Hello and sorry to say I’ve only used the speaker pillow and I’m told that is sort of quiet. However I cannot tell from my point of view. When I thought about these type of speakers, on your head, I wondered if they would be uncomfortable sleeping on them?Take care

There are several on Amazon.

It comes down to comfort and padding.

The ones I currently use have deep padding aroynd the eyes.

Cannot paste the link but here is the description:

Sleep Headphones, onaEz 2022 Upgraded Bluetooth Sleep Mask, 3D Eye Mask Men Women with Wireless 5.0 Handsfree Bluetooth, Soft Music Sleeping Mask Built-in Speakers Microphone, Light Blocking Blindfold

You should be able to search and find them.

Hi .. I’ve jusgg to bought a puretone speaker/sound pillow . @ £30 via their webpage or via BTA You can connect it to your smart phone - you need a connector ( headphone jack to charger @ £4 - 6) I use the free app ReSound which has rain sounds. I find if you put volume on max and use the volume control on pillow - it’s very effective as you place your head ok it. My partner can’t hear it - so a win win

Ps I’ve also used iPod in ear or Bluetooth earbuds. With same app Which were good but can fall out / hurt after a nights sleep

Hi Squarkyboy

I can't recommend any specific models but a quick search online suggests -

sleepband.com/ - US-based, ships to the UK in 7 to 10 days per their website

and the UK-based sleepphones.co.uk/, which have previously been used by forum members

I hope this helps you narrow down your options.

I have the wireless SleepPhones purchased from the BTA a few years ago. I recognise that they are a quality product, and many people derive benefit from them. For me, however, they are not so good:

The first problem is related to my own T, which is not maskable unless using earbuds - the sound has to be in my ear canal. I had hoped to do better with the SleepPhones because I would be asleep or drifting, but no joy.

Secondly, I do find getting the location of the speakers "just right" over my ears, and keeping them there as I sleep, difficult and a bit of a faff.

Finally, because the model I have requires a USB connection to recharge, I find locating / relocating the battery / control unit a nuisance.

I emphasise that these are very personal responses, and many other people would disagree.

Hi Pericoder thanks for your reply. I am pretty new to all this as my T only started after the New year. Started off with my iPhone next to my head with rain sounds. But it currently isn’t cutting it unless the volume is high. Thanks again 👍

I used a headband for a month after the T hit me like a ton of bricks. It worked pretty well for a month but it started to niggle me because of the heat generated when sleeping. I also tried a sleep pillow but found that not to work for me. So I saved up and plunged into buying a set of sleepbuds and have slept well ever after despite very loud T sounds. That was 2.5 years ago. Hope you find something that works for you.

Thanks for the reply Mikkitin. Will have to investigate the sleepbuds also. It’s early days for me and I don’t think my T is as bad as others at the moment fingers crossed. Interestingly I just tested positive for Covid last week after minding the Grandkids for a day and my T changed volume for the first couple of days and then went back to were it was originally. Thanks again

I reckon that’s exactly how I caught Covid too. The spike is more than likely due to your anxiety at the thought of what might happen with Covid. All the best.
