I'm fairly new to this whole Tinnitus thing - I'm just a 9 month old in that regard.
I have difficulty falling to sleep and the usual white noise, rain sounds etc etc simply don't do it for me as I'm also an over thinker (lucky me!).
The ENT nurse has recommended that I try audiobooks to help me settle, which I think might work really well for me.
The dilemma is that I am hoping that I will actually (or almost) fall asleep listening but this would also mean that I would still wearing the headphones/headband thingy.
I'm set on giving this a good go, so has anyone any recommendations for good quality, comfortable devices?

There are lots of headbands on Amazon. They are fairly inexpensive and work reasonably well.
If you want headphones that you sleep with, you could look at Anker A10 Sleepbuds. They are around £100 and are ok. I say ok as I compare them to Bose Sleepbuds which are brilliant but have now been discontinued. However, you cannot stream audio with the Bose - it only has a set of noise masking sounds to choose from.
The team behind the Bose Sleepbuds have now set up a new company and are soon to launch Ozlo, which look exactly like the Bose ones but promise to be able to stream audio. However, they have not launched yet and the date keeps on being pushed back. They are also very expensive.

I don’t know what noise app you are using for your sounds but I use one called Relief and you can do custom sounds. Mine is Fire & Rain, thunder and White noise. I sometimes have to have it loud(er) if my T is being particularly irksome. Good luck with sleep buds, let us know which you get and good they, for the rest of the family. I’m lucky enough to be sleeping on my own so don’t need anything like that.
Hi at the beginning i bought some bone conduction headphones as i read that they were effective - they are called Shokz - they are very good as they dont go in the ear, however ihave subsequently read that its best to avoid any type of headphones for Tinnitus - however i think getting sleep is vital for us to cope and we all have to find our way to get some sleep, i found them very good and usually dozed off.
I was recommended a headband, I think it’s called muzicozy on Amazon. It’s much more comfortable and if necessary can be worn over the eyes too to encourage darkness. I tend to sleep on my side and found that headphones were just too uncomfortable in bed.
Also, I know that you’ve tried the white noise etc but you might like to try the ReSound app. My T is a bit pesky and adapts to certain noises but the app has so many different combinations that I can keep ahead of it. It also has a timer which means that I can set it and not worry about it playing all night.
