Hello,

Would love to hear from anyone who suffers from tinnitus while having to care for young children.

Do you feel it has had an effect on your ability as a parent? Or the responsibility helped with habituation/managing?

I’m approx 7/8 weeks in now, having up’s and down’s. But I’m really pushing on for my families sake. Just worried I may burn out eventually.

Take care all x

Hello Hia20I am 10 months into my tinnitus.

I don’t have young children as mine have grown up.

I do have two bouncy poodles though and it can be very challenging at times . When they get excited and bark it’s a nightmare.

Little more I can say. This tinnitus is a nightmare too as there is little to help us . Good luck to you

Mine seems to have eased with my stress & anxiety declining. I had an MRI yesterday, was really impressed with how quickly I was able to have it on the NHS, asked for one beginning of Feb & was booked for end of the month. So awaiting results on that - if it’s all clear, I think my stress & anxiety will be alleviated more so, and I am holding positive thoughts in mind that the tinnitus may also then remain manageable. We can only hope! Take care x
