Is my T different?
Mine is like a whoosh. Like gas on the job when it’s released. It’s also repetitive but not necessarily in time with my pulse.
I really am trying the acceptance route.
But it’s hard.
Cheers

Hi Maxi80
I think there are so many different tinnitus noises that we all have our own personal battle.
At least being on here makes us feel less alone and isolated.

Hi Maxi
As Lynne says, everybody's tinnitus is different in some way. A whooshing sound is often linked with Pulsatile Tinnitus, which echoes the rhythm or pattern of the heartbeat - tinnitus.org.uk/pulsatile-t....
Trying to accept tinnitus being present is a really good way to manage it - certainly in terms of reducing stress and anxiety issues. When we're not pushing back against tinnitus, we're less likely to find it burdensome and intrusive - frequently our tinnitus is most problematic when we're actively feeling threatened or frustrated by it.

Hello Pat, that really sounds like a very good idea to chat to people with this nightmare tinnitus, like a lot of people on here mine is very severe , just like my head is in a “fan oven. and full of pressure, or sometimes just like a balloon being blown up , I’ve not found anyone with my symptoms , most people talk about high frequency sounds . I’ve had scans and nothing was found, but I’m left feeling totally isolated and alone , even if I’m with my sister , who thankfully is allowed to be my support bubble. I wish everyone well on here and we are not alone, that’s for sure .
Try low salt diet T may calm down a bit
