I hope you had a lovely Christmas and plenty of food! 🙂
I’ve had tinnitus for over a decade and I’ve had many ups and downs.
For the past 2-3 days I have developed a twitching or fluttering in one ear....it’s caused me a lot of distress today and have found it has only settles (about 90%) when I lie down in bed. This isn’t a solution as when I’m upright it’s there constantly fluttering and it feels pressured too.
It’s distracting and upsetting me. Wondering if anyone has ever experienced this? Can it be a delayed reaction to stress etc?
Also have always had sinus issues for as long as I can remember, so not sure if that’s a factor too
Thank you,
Elle

I have and still get this. I believe it’s the ear drum in spasm, but I’m not a doctor I’m only going on what I’ve read and heard. I started to put pumpkin seeds into my diet as they are high in magnesium which is good for muscle relaxation. I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence but I noticed a positive difference. Good luck!
I have something a bit similar if I'm watching TV the sound sort of goes in and out if that makes sense...? This all started in September last year after what I thought was some sort of viral infection, had fullness in left ear..then very low noise..sort of like a hum...fullness is gone but left with this low noise.
Thank God it's not noticeable outside, in the car etc but dread going indoors as its so noticeable again.
I've been using cotton wool in my left ear which acts as a sort of "filter"..though have developed an "issue" with sitting in the living room watching TV..as I'm expecting there to be issues etc..
I use a fan at night on low setting and it seems to cancel out the vibrating/fluttering sort of feeling.
Just read a post on habituating..so don't know if the fans a good idea but I can't sleep without it.
My wife thinks it could have been stress that started all this but now I'm wondering what it is.
I never had ear issues before so can't understand why this all started...hard to keep hoping..but trying to accept it which I'm finding really difficult.
