Thank you, just trying to get used to this . Would be great to hear that you can adjust to it. I feel like I've started to accept it. So far it's been continuous . Feeling a bit more positive and bought some head phones to sleep with and use during day etc. Just want to hear it gets easier and easier really , that's what I'm hoping

You can make it. I remember the fear I had at first (not normally a fearful person) and was afraid I couldn't cope. Now, I cope...and so will you. Habituation is the key. You're stronger than you think.

Hi Rich, I remember when I first had T. Everyone was saying "you'll get used to it" and I did not believe this; could not believe this. How could this "THING" that haddeveloped overnight, invaded my space, invaded my silence and tormented me night after night possibly be something that I could simply "get used to"? I raged internally, cried a lot, felt sad, desperate and misunderstood (especially by medical pros!) for months and months.

To my astonishment, one day I realized that I had gotten through most of the day without noticing my T. Yes, it was still there, but I wasn't so aware of it. That shocked me; I didn't think this was possible.

So, Rich, take heart. Your brain WILL acclimatize to T at some stage when your brain and mind are ready to do so. The T will not disappear, but it will not bother you so much. That doesn't mean it will never bother you, but it's just not such a constant torment.

If you're anxious/stressed, the T is likely to worsen suddenly, albeit temporarily. If you find it difficult to relax, you could try drinking Imperial pu-erh tea, OR take 10 drops of scutelleria lateriflora, otherwise known as skullcap in warm water twice daily. Get the tea from a reputable tea shop and the herbal tincture from a reputable herbalist, such as Baldwin's in London. If you're already on meds, check with your pharmacist for contra-indications beforehand.

Have a peaceful Christmas!

Hello Rich. lots of good advice. The first period is the worst. Hang in there. I thought that i would never sleep again. i was like a zombie when i went to see my Gp. sleeping pills got me through the first made period.

The T journey is different for us all. For some it goes away others habituate and it causes them no problems. This csn be a few months or longer. it is really had to tell as we are all do different.

It is good to see your Gp to make sure that you don't have some o ther underlieing problem.

I hope that things settle for you very quickly.

Wishing you peace and quiet.
