At home syringing = ringing?

Hey all,

For most of 18 yrs alive, I've been pretty sensitive to most sounds due to ASD. about 2 weeks ago, I was in bed and all of a sudden noticed a loud humming (not sure which ear) that was slightly high pitched. I instantly assumed the worst and thought it was tinnitus or hyperacusis. after seeing the doctor who recommended cleaning out my ears and making an irrigation appointment for 8 days, I returned home where my mum had ordered a Medi Grade ear wax removal syringe from amazon. I was skeptical at first but after reading the positive reviews and evaluating the amount of stress I was in, I thought it was worth a shot. 5 days of olive oil drops and I started flushing my right ear, eventually getting a good amount of wax out. But once I stopped, I could then notice a much higher pitch 'electronic-type' ringing in that ear (it may have quietly accompanied the previous humming). I suddenly started questioning if i was too harsh, whether such a product could cause trauma from excessive pressure, frantically searching for hours.

It is now a few days later, and after irrigation and inspection, professionals have confirmed my ears look clear and healthy, no sign of infection, perforation or trauma. Yet the high pitch ringing remains, leaving me questioning everything.

I know this is still rather early into experiencing this so I'm hoping for the best in the next couple weeks, but I just want to know if anyone has had a similar experience with these type of devices and whether they can actually be harmful enough to cause this ringing long-term. Being a student previously plagued by lack of motivation and depression, this has put me in a complete confused rut, leaving me anguished and suicidal most days.

I hope someone can understand this mess better than I do
