Question for anyone from the BTA

I’m supposed to be going for a free trial of the lyric hearing device next week.

I notice on their website that the BTA is mentioned. Before going I would like to know what your opinion is. It’s going to cost me a lot of time and money if I decide to do this after the free trial.

Any information you have would be appreciated.

Thank you

Ingrid

Dear Ingrid

I have had some time off work, apologies for the late reply.

This product Lyric Hearing Device. This seems to be a hearing aid that can be worn for an extended period of time, inside the ear canal.

This is new, there doesn't seem to be any other hearing aids that can be worn in this way.

It has a function, like some other hearing aids to add background noise/sound which some people with Tinnitus find helpful.

Good luck with your trial.

Kind Regards

Shakeela

Thanks for the reply.

I’ve decided not to go for the trial as the aids will cost £250 per pair! Also I’d have to go to London every time they needed replacing. There is a clinic near me that does them so maybe I’ll trial them there. If they’re good then I might just use them for holidays etc.
