Which antidepressants caused or worsened your tinnitus?

Lexapro (escitalopram) ten days 0,5 mg snd two days 10 mg.

This medicine is used to cope up with Tinnitus.

Idk which ones worse but some relieve it

I was on low dosages of Aprazolam .25 twice a day and the ringing went down to a level where I was not aware or had anxiety or panic attacks and I slept good at night time

Thank you for the reply. Over the weekend I was able to get a significant amount of impacted ear wax removed. Ever since then, my tinnitus has been gone entirely to barely audible. Wish one of my docs had suggested having my ears examined as I have dealt with major tinnitus for over 10 years.

I am very glad for you that the Xanax gives you relief from the tinnitus and the anxiety.

If anyone would like to know how I was able dislodge severely impacted ear wax, let me know. I followed the advice of an audiologist.

DSH thank you. It feels wonderful to finally lose this ringing in my head/ears. While what worked for me may not help everyone, it is something to consider.

The ringing after ear wax removal is not Tinnitus. It is temporary ringing. It takes 12-16 weeks before the ringing goes away. It never comes back. Enjoy .
