Seasonal variation

My tinnitus (from severe emotional stress 14 months ago, now resolved) needs more headphone time than even a couple of weeks ago. Anyone getting same as summer slips into autumn? Can't say same happened last year. I didn't notice. Still going through the stress at the time.

Click on my username. You can then access my past posts on the subject. Ginkgo has a secret. It has to leave your system before the next dose is recognised. If you take it daily you are wasting your time.

well I'll swear it worked for me . I only took one a day so it took a while. If I wasn't on blood thinners now I'd take it again.

That's how I started off. Low dose daily. It didn't seem to have any effect so I stopped taking it for a few days to see if the tinnitus increased. Then restarted. It didn't take me long to work out that for me daily wasn't going to do it. Having researched the stuff on line, and finding all trials of it involved daily dosing, it doesn't surprise me Ginkgo 'failed the audition' every time.

I researched gingko 20 odd years ago , I think it was only gingko and acupuncture ( which cost a fortune and didnt work for me ) that was advised as a "can help" so I guess more modern current trials have better information. Maybe I can try a double dose on a couple of days a week and not take the thinners on those days.

I hope you take medical advice first if you're going to that. But I have said before on this site that my low dose, 90mg a day and then nothing for another three days isn't going to be thinning anything.

my ginkgo bottle says its 500 mg , might need to get a lower dose :)

I break up my 250mg with a nut cracker. I've obtained a tiny electronic scales that measures down to 1mg, for less than £30 on Amazon to weigh the bits out for a 30mg dose. Then absorption in the mouth, as would be the case chewing the actual leaf.
